Sharon -- If you haven't already, start buying a few things on eBay to build up some feedbacks but also to familiarize yourself wit the process, To start out as a seller, do what everyone else does - sell junk that's taking up space around the house. Even the items that don't bring in much money will prove invaluable for the experience they give you and gain you more poditive feedbacks. Also, check Lynn Dralle's Queen of Auction website - she has a great free newsletter. Pick up a few books from Amazon.com. Just google her name or Queen of Auctions. Check local thrift shops, yard sales, Goodwills, etc.
